Two-Twelve Ministries and Leaving Laodicea

One night I had a dream that I had just performed a concert and it went really well. I was quite satisfied with myself. I walked out on the stage/sanctuary to pick up my guitar (I am my own roadie, even in my dreams) and I was startled to hear a voice from the shadows in the back, requesting me to play one more song. The man went on to explain that he did not believe in Jesus but heard the music as he was passing by so he stopped in to give a listen. He went on to say that as he listened to each song, he found himself coming closer and closer to believing in Jesus. He felt that he was just one song away from accepting Jesus into his heart and life and that if I sang just one more "Jesus song", he would come to believe. I remember in this dream looking at this man and telling him that I had sung all the songs I knew... that there were no more songs. With that, the man shrugged his shoulders and slowly walked back out into the darkness of the night. Suddenly I wasn't feeling very satisfied with myself. Well, pretty much immediately I woke up from this dream. It was about 3am and my guitar was near my bed. In the darkness I sat on my bed and wrote this song. It is the song I use most often at the end of a concert. I will sing until I am blue in the face if it means someone might come to believe in Jesus... and I will always have one more song.
